Churn is the quickest killer of businesses, so even improving your retention rate by a couple of percentage points can make a huge difference. Disappearing users are in the critical stage where you can still do something about it. Consider them pre-churned.

Thankfully there are a number of methods to help you achieve this - instrumenting your app, defining users, engaging more meaningfully, and educating them about features (to name a few)
